There was a moment at the end of Bayern Munich’s clash with Wolfsburg which could mean a lot. Once the game was over Robert Lewandowski went to the Bayern fans to show them his love for them. It felt like a goodbye to his fans, whom he also offered the prize of top goalscorer in the division.
Lewandowksi has been a key player there for eight years and is loved by supporters. He touched his heart and could not stop a few tears from falling.
Barcelona are keen to sign the Polish forward and Bayern sporting director Hassan Salihamidzic says he wants to leave.
“I have spoken with Lewa,” he explained to Sky Sports. “During the conversations, he told me he doesn’t accept our offer and wants to leave the club.”
Barcelona need to negotiate a fee with Bayern and are hoping to bring him in for 35-40 million euros.
