A card player at the MGM National Harbor Casino in Maryland hit the jackpot of a lifetime.
According to the casino, the man, identified only as John C., hit a seven-card straight flush in hearts in Face Up Pai Gow Poker. The payout was a staggering $3,040,756.
The mammoth win happened this past weekend.
It’s a progressive jackpot game, and it’s the largest score in the history of the casino, which opened in 2016.
The odds of hitting the hand were worse than 1-in-600,000.
Face Up Pai Gow Poker features head-to-head play against the dealer and offers the optional Fortune Bonus and Ace-High wagers. As in standard Pai Gow, each player and dealer receive seven-cards, but in Face Up Pai Gow Poker the dealer’s cards are dealt face-up.
